I bought this for my living room. It is very sturdy and comfortable. I purchased the 8 inch mattress.I was not pleased that it has four plastic caps on the ends. The futon looks good except for those caps which look cheep. I found two of them were broken when I started assembling it.

Once I got the futon put together, and sat on it, I was truly amazed at its comfortableness. My wife and I slept on it that night, and was extremely comfortable. The only drawback was that we ordered the thick mattress, and it is harder to convert with the thick mattress, but believe me it is worth it. We knew about this drawback from a comment we read BEFORE we purchased the futon!!!

It looks good and was a good buy for the money. It came with directions for some other futon, lots of extra parts and some parts I wish I would have had were missing. You'll need some extra washers, the screws are too long on some parts and we had to shim it. A little flimsy, but comfy and cute. I would buy it again. Mostly hard to assemble.

I was able to put it together by myself on the first try in about 2 hours which I thought was pretty good since I've never put any furniture together before.

It sits very nicely as a couch with a high back to lean against and folds out into a comfy futon guest bed without taking up any real extra space because it pivots in the middle.

It's light-weight for shifting around the room but very sturdy at the same time because of the strong metal construction.

I love the futon. However, 4 important screws were missing. Because I need to use the futon right away, I did not try to contact the seller instead I went look for the screws at a close by hardware store. They were somewhat hard to look for at the hardware store.

If it wasn't for my husband and neighbor I would of had to send it back because it had the directions for another futon, not the one I purchased. It also had a noticable dent in the side which I will have to cover with a pillow. Other than that it was a decent deal for the money.

I just got this, but after a hard days work this bed gives me a comfortable nights sleep. I bought a mattress cover to go over it and to protect the cover, which is also quite comfy. To prevent grooves from forming I flip the mattress over each night before laying down.

I was looking for a futon for my college-bound son who attends school in Texas. My product requirements were that it was less than $400, good mattress, large enough for a 6 ft athlete and easy to assemble. It also needed to get to him quick. This was the right style at the right price. It was also easy to assemble. My son really likes it and tells me it is comfortable. I haven't seen it personally but I take his word for it. Product availability was very important because I had ordered a futon from [...]t to be delivered to my son and they waited 2 weeks before telling me it was not available and cancelled the order. My son had to sleep on the floor for 3 weeks. The Futon Store was great [...]. Thank you!

The price of this futon frame was awesome compared to other websites - but I definitely wouldn't pay more for it. There were no words on the instructions and the drawings were less than helpful, but we eventually got it together (after 2 hours) and it looks nice...not as fancy as the photo but nice!

When in bed mode, the futon is good. It's comfortable, though it's balance is a little off and can tip easily. It's next to impossible to get the futon into couch mode with a mattress on it, though this could be due to the inner springs in the mattress (I purchased the 8" inner spring mattress recommended with the futon). If you're not planning to use this as a primary bed, perhaps you should look at the 6" mattress as it will probably be easier to change.
